Artist Expressway caught up with singer song writer Dave Hutzler to find out more about the sudden explosion of interest his new music video "The Brick" is stirring up all over the internet, ever since its release. This video is masterfully done, and extremely thought provoking. It left us here at the expressway speechless. - Joe Ardis

Dave Hutzler writes - My name is Dave Hutzler from Mesa AZ.  I am 54 Years old and have been writing music my whole life.  I have a passion for creating good ole country music. I would like to know if I could have you go onto I-tunes and watch the Video Titled "The Brick" by Dave Hutzler.  It is a Country Music Video with a powerful message.  

 

I have the most unique way of playing the guitar... like no one else I have ever seen in the State, or even in this Country. I learned to play the guitar as a little boy on my Fathers big old Jumbo Gibson.  Way to big for me to hold.  So I just laid it down put the pick in my Left Hand since i was a true southpaw.  I placed my other hand over the top of the neck and started making my cords, as I watched right handed people play.  I would have many people come up and ask me what type of Guitar I was playing? Steel? Nope, Dobro? nope ,, just a regular right handed guitar.  I have learned to many cool songs from the past and play my own lead, harmonica and 12 string.

Sometimes people ask me why I do what I do, Well I would need to answer that question with this response. I have had a desire to share my thoughts through songs in such a long time. I really want others to listen with the message that is in each of my songs. I get the ideas from actual experiences and feel that I would like to share them with others to help them understand that we can look to others before ourselves. I do know that by serving others we are the ones  that become better people because of it. I have standards that I live my life with. I do feel inspired to write these songs. I have just released another song on You-Tube titles Handwriting on the wall. It has a very powerful message as well. I hope this has helped you to see who I really am.  I Love singing and writing music. I hope to write other songs in the near future and Hope to share them with as many people as I can.
